Yu Junwu, a Chinese artist based in Australia whose ancestral home is in Chuzhou, Anhui province, has organized nearly 100 large-scale cultural events over the past three decades during traditional Chinese festivals such as the Chinese New Year and the Mid-Autumn Festival, as well as on major commemorative occasions. "The overseas Chinese community's longing for Chinese culture contains immense energy, and it is crucial to harness that energy effectively. I believe we have the responsibility to use culture as a platform, so that the concept of peace can transcend national borders and become an enduring force driving human progress," he said.

Yang Boyao, a Malaysian Chinese whose ancestral home is in Meizhou, Guangdong province, has for many years been responsible for maintaining the cemetery of the overseas Chinese drivers and mechanics from Southeast Asia, known as the Nanyang Volunteers, and organizing memorial activities there. He has actively promoted their patriotic deeds and advanced the development of a memorial park and museum dedicated to them. "During the War of Resistance, more than 3,200 of the NanyangVolunteers returned to China from afar to support the resistance against Japanese aggression. Their spirit of dedication is truly worth promoting. We must pass on this story so that more young people will know about it," Yang said.

Fang Zhiwei, whose ancestral home is in Zhongshan, Guangdong province, is the grandson of Fang Zuobiao, a well-known overseas Chinese leader in Fiji. After the outbreak of the war, Fang Zuobiao sold his family assets and used his lifelong savings to buy a fighter plane for the motherland. He also mobilized overseas Chinese in New Zealand and Australia to donate three additional fighter planes. "My grandfather was a patriotic businessman. Although he was not highly educated, he loved his country deeply. He gave his children names like 'Guoqiang' (strong country), 'Fumin' (affluence), and 'Xing' (revitalization), hoping the next generation would remember that 'without a country, there is no home.' I have now also sent my daughter back to China in the hope of promoting traditional Chinese culture and telling China's stories well," Fang said.

9月1日下午，中国人民抗日战争暨世界反法西斯战争胜利80周年纪念活动新闻中心举办第二场记者见面会。

77岁华侨徐松华是西班牙中国和平统一促进会会长，“我参加过很多次祖国的重大活动，这次依然十分激动。很多人盼望着九三阅兵。”他表示，这次参与抗战胜利80周年纪念活动的西班牙华侨有33位，他们将把现场看到的记录好传到西班牙，让西班牙华侨共享这份荣光。

余俊武是澳大利亚的一位华人艺术工作者，祖籍安徽滁州。30多年来，他在春节、中秋等中国传统节日和重大纪念日举办近百场大型文化活动。“海外华侨华人对中华文化的渴望蕴含着巨大的能量，如何把这种能量凝聚起来产生作用，非常重要。我觉得我们有责任用文化搭建平台，让和平的理念跨越国界，成为推动人类发展的永恒动力。”

杨博耀是马来西亚华人，祖籍广东梅州。多年来，他一直负责南侨机工墓地维护及祭扫工作，积极弘扬南侨机工的爱国事迹，推动南侨机工纪念公园和纪念馆建设。“抗战期间，3200多名南侨机工跨越千里、远渡重洋回到祖国支援抗战，他们的奉献精神非常值得弘扬。我们一定要把这个故事传承下去，让更多年轻人知道。”杨博耀说。

方志伟祖籍广东中山，是斐济知名侨领方作标之孙。方作标曾在抗战爆发后变卖家产，以毕生积蓄购买1架战斗机捐赠给祖国，并发动新西兰、澳大利亚等地华侨捐献3架战斗机。“我的祖父是一位爱国商人，他虽然文化程度不高，但是十分爱国。他给孩子取名为‘国强、富民、兴’等，就是希望下一代铭记‘有国才有家’。我现在也已经把我的女儿送回中国，希望把中华文化发扬光大，讲好中国故事。”
