On the morning of March 26, 2025, the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) held a panel session on “Inclusive Globalization that Benefits All: Pathways and Actions”. Muhammad AURANGZEB, Federal Minister for Finance & Revenue, Pakistan, emphasized that “inclusive globalization is a necessity” and called for a more equitable system to ensure fairer participation for all nations.
Mr. AURANGZEB pointed out four challenges to inclusive globalization, namely, unfair trade practices and market access barriers, financial inequality and debt crisis, digital and technological divide, and climate change and environmental disparities.
Mr. AURANGZEB proposed that we should achieve equitable globalization through endeavors in four areas. First, trade reform to level the playing field. Second, reforming the WTO dispute settlement mechanisms. Third, restructuring the global financial architecture. Fourth, advancing greener and more sustainable globalization.
Mr. AURANGZEB also highlighted the importance of strengthening regional economic partnerships and leveraging technology to advance globalization effectively.
In conclusion, Mr. AURANGZEB expressed his vision for a globalization model that fosters fair trade, sustainable growth and equitable financial systems and a multilateral, sustainable and innovation-driven global economy that promotes the development and prosperity of all nations.
