In the future, we hope to make it possible for people to pass through ports across Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao without presenting documents or pressing fingerprints."

"We achieved 'non-contact passage' after nearly two years by enhancing traditional facial recognition, dynamic verification and person re-identification technologies," Shang stated. Previously, citizens traveling between Hong Kong and Shenzhen had to scan documents or press fingerprints. With the advent of "non-contact passage" technology, they can now pass through ports just by walking. "In the future, this technology may be deployed at the Hetao Port, and possibly at other ports between Guangdong and Hong Kong."

Shang added, "The 'non-contact passage' technology will also be applied during the 15th National Games, and the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games. For example, in running and cycling competitions, recognition technologies will be used for athlete identity verification and result confirmation to significantly improve efficiency, eliminating the need for large-scale manual verification of participants and results."

未来更多粤港口岸有望“无感通行”

8月30日，香港特别行政区立法会议员、清华大学创新领军工程博士尚海龙在广州参加新的社会阶层人士科技创新工作推进会时，介绍了“无感通行”的相关技术及应用情况。他表示：“目前，‘无感通行’已在中英街口岸香港侧完全实现。未来有望实现大家不需要拿证件、摁指纹就能在粤港澳三地‘无感通行’。”

“我们通过提升传统的人脸识别、动态验证、行人重识别等技术水平，经过差不多两年时间，实现了‘无感通行’。”尚海龙表示，以前市民往返香港和深圳之间，需要刷证件或摁指纹，“无感通行”技术应用后，市民通过“走路”不停顿的方式即可通关，“未来‘无感通行’技术可能在河套口岸，也可能在广东与香港的其他口岸得到应用。”

尚海龙进一步表示：“‘无感通行’技术将会在十五运会和残特奥会比赛中得到应用，比如说跑步类的比赛、自行车的比赛，都会应用到识别性的技术，运动员身份核验、比赛结果的确认等都将得到一个相当大的提升，不再需要通过大规模的人工方式去检录和核实成绩。”
