On August 30, the "Thai Street Vibes" event organised by the Consulate General in Guangzhou kicked off in the heart of Guangzhou at Beijing Road. The crowd of participants experienced Thai identity in various dimensions: tourism, arts and culture, products and services through exhibitions in the form of store openings.

As part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand in 2025, the "Thai Street Vibes" event aims to strengthen the country’s all-round awareness of Thailand among the public in Guangzhou and the southern China area, both in the dimensions already favoured by the Chinese people, especially Thai culture and the creative economy, to Chinese and foreigners in Guangzhou.

At the opening ceremony of the "Thai Street Vibes" event, the Consul General in Guangzhou said that this event was part of the 50th anniversary celebration of Thailand-China diplomatic relations, strengthening the relationship between the people of the two countries through the "Thai Street Vibes" event that presents Thai identity through cultural aspects along with business exchanges with China.

The Guangdong Province area has the highest economic, trade and innovation dynamics as well as high purchasing power. The Consul General reiterated the long-standing bond between Thailand and China. 今年正值泰中建交50周年暨“泰中友谊金色50年”，8月30日，泰王国驻广州总领事馆在广州北京路步行街举办为期两天的“泰国街巷风情”主题活动，通过特色摊位、主题展览及舞台表演等形式，进一步促进中泰民间交流与文化互鉴。

泰王国驻广州总领事沈勇俊在致辞时表示，此次活动是中泰建交50周年系列庆祝活动的重要组成部分。他强调，广东省是中国经济贸易、科技创新领域最具活力及消费能力最强的地区之一，寄望“泰国街巷风情”活动能进一步促进两国人民在相互理解、商业机遇与旅游互访方面的交流，为巩固两国友好关系作出持续贡献。

据悉，本次活动致力于向广州市及华南地区公众全方位展示泰国形象，内容设置上涵盖了广为人知的泰国传统元素，亦重点推介了泰国文化与创意经济等新兴领域。现场除了超过30个泰国商品与美食展位，泰拳表演、泰国传统舞蹈表演、泰国新生代艺人演出、有奖互动游戏、DIY工坊、泰式烹饪教学以及中泰建交50周年主题展览等丰富活动也吸引了众多市民游客驻足。
