On the morning of March 13, the Information Office of Hunan Provincial People's Government held a press conference, to deliberate on the "No. 1 Document" of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee for 2025. This year, Hunan Province will center on the deep integration of agricultural scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, to vigorously develop the new quality productive forces of agriculture industry by doing "Four Focuses" and implementing "Five Major Programs". The "Four Focuses" are:

1. Supporting national food security;

2. Enhancing innovation capacity;

3. Serving all-around rural revitalization; and,

4. Advancing the second phase of the reform of the "Grand Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences."

The "Five Major Programs" consist of:

1. Popularizing core varieties and technologies;

2. Cultivating major achievements;

3. Constructing major platforms;

4. Developing local industries; and,

5. Implementing major reforms.
