On the same day, the Shekou Cruise Center in Shenzhen formally began offering international transit services for passengers, making Shenzhen the first city in China to introduce international cruise transit services. The Shekou Border Inspection Station under the Shenzhen Border Inspection General Station optimized the processing procedures, allowing for on-site inspection of transiting passengers upon arrival, visa-free transit for foreign nationals, and enhanced convenience for Hong Kong and Macau residents boarding cruise ships.

当天，深圳蛇口邮轮中心正式开始为乘客提供国际中转服务，使深圳成为中国首个引入国际邮轮中转服务的城市。深圳蛇口边检站优化了处理程序，允许中转乘客在抵达时进行现场检查，为外国人提供免签中转，并为港澳居民登船提供更大便利。

It is reported that various cruise companies, airlines, and travel enterprises will focus on creating tailored cruise services for international transit passengers, especially those from Europe, the U.S., Australia, and other regions. These services will connect passengers to Southeast Asia, Japan, and other countries via Shenzhen.

After the launch of this international transit zone, the estimated clearance time for foreign passengers transiting through Shenzhen will be reduced by 80%, and the distance they need to travel for customs clearance will be halved. The Shekou Cruise Center is expected to unlock greater connectivity for cruise routes, enabling passengers to easily transfer and connect with different global cruise services. With a combination of frequent and flexible routes, the center will significantly expand the coverage of Shenzhen’s cruise homeport, targeting key international markets. It is estimated that up to 1,200 passengers per cruise will benefit from this international transit service, with an annual transit volume expected to reach nearly 100,000 passengers, primarily from developed regions such as North America, Western Europe, Japan, South Korea, and Australia.
