原文
Life in 2060 Let’s suppose it is a common day of 2060. Of course things have changed and life is very different. Trips to the moon are being made every day. At a number of scenic spots(风景胜地)on the moon, many hotels have been built. In order that everyone can enjoy the beautiful scenery on the moon, every room has at least one window. Because people in the world today are many more than those about fifty years ago, most of the earth’s surface has to be filled. The deserts are irrigated with water and crops are no longer eaten by pests(害虫). The harvest is always good. Farming, of course, is very highly developed. Very few people have to work on the farm. It is possible to run the farm by just using a few computers. People are now largely vegetarians, and they eat only bread, vegetables, fruit and so on and they don’t eat meat or fish. You see, as the number of people increases(增加), the number of animals decreases. So people have to be vegetarians. We know how to deal with all kinds of illnesses. No one has to be ill any more. Such would be our life in 2060.

原文
Dear Sarah in 2018,
This is a letter from the year 2050. I want to talk about life in 2050. Life seems to go easy in 2050. Robots do most things for people , such as working , cooking and cleaning. Toys teach and play with children. Parents spend most of their time dreaming.
However, that’s not everything. The weather changes very fast. Sometimes, when you go outside on the street , it is raining hard , and then it stops the next minute. People easily get different diseases(疾病) in 2050. We can’t breathe fresh air on the street because of Air pollution. Forests die because the water gets polluted. Animals die because they lose their home, food and water. Everyone has to pay to see real plants and animals in museums.
How does the world become like this ? Well , technologies(科技) have developed too fast in the past 50 years. Some are bad for the earth and people. This is really a good lesson for people in your time. What are we going to do with the money and technologies if we don’t have our home ? Please slow down and take time to think about technologies.
Yours truly ,
Sarah in 2050

We often watch movies about the future. What will the future and our life be like in 20 years? Our world will be much more beautiful than now. There will be less pollution. There will be more robots in our life. They can help us do the housework and do some simple jobs. Fewer people will do such jobs because these jobs are boring. The robots even can talk with humans and have their own feelings such as sadness and happiness. Some will look like humans and others may look like animals.
How about me? Maybe in 20 years, I think I will be a pilot. As a pilot, I can travel all over the world and meet many interesting people. I will keep a dog as a pet in my home. And I also have a robot helper. When I leave my city because of work, the robot can help me look after it. During the holiday, my robot will make different plans for me and tell me how much money each plan needs. Then I can choose the best plan. No one knows what will happen in the future. So Let's wait!
