The model of staggered fresh sales combined with year-round processing not only extends the value chain but also enhances the industry's economic potential through technological innovation, ensuring more stable returns for fruit farmers.

The Processing Institute of the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GDAAS) is spearheading the implementation of these technologies. In 2024, it established fixed stations for lychee preservation and assisted Guangzhou Conghua Hualong Fruit and Vegetable Company in launching a "shared factory + shared technology" system in Conghua, Guangzhou, and Gaozhou, Maoming. This system integrates freezing, juicing, and cold storage, operating through original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or OEM + sales partnerships.

According to Cheng Lina, associate researcher at the GDAAS, the freezing technique physically locks in freshness without chemical additives, extending the shelf life of lychees to one year. Upon defrosting, the fruit retains 80 to 90% of its original color, aroma, and taste, and over 80% of its nutrients, far surpassing traditional freezing methods.

In the realm of deep processing, the team helped establish a fully automated lychee ice cream production line and developed a fermented lychee yogurt ice cream, with at least 40% fermented juice added. This innovation delivers both flavor and health benefits. They also introduced a new lychee-flavored rice wine and created a demonstration base for whole-fruit lychee processing.

Ouyang Jianzhong, chairman of Guangzhou Conghua Hualong Fruit and Vegetable Company revealed that the company invested 100 million yuan in Guangzhou and over 30 million yuan in Gaozhou to build production lines with capacities of 2,000 to 3,000 tons for freezing technique and over 5,000 tons for rapid freezing. Leveraging the "shared factory" model, the two processing centers can share equipment and technology to lower operational costs. Distributors pay only for processing and storage services to access customized preservation solutions and staggered selling schedules. The company will also provide farmers with bundled "sales + processing" services, promising a value-added return rate of no less than 5%. This model helps farmers avoid losses from low prices during peak seasons, empowers distributors to sell during off-seasons, and transforms the lychee industry from a seasonal trade into a year-round supply system.

1.3亿元建加工线 串起荔枝全球产销网

“预计今年通过冻眠技术可实现5000万至6000万元营业额收入……”通过速冻锁鲜、制汁加工等初处理技术,荔枝等季节性水果正实现规模化批量处理——错峰鲜销与周年加工的模式,不仅延伸了产业链条,更通过科技手段提升产业经济价值,为果农收益筑牢保障。

广东省农业科学院加工所积极推动技术落地,2024 年建立荔枝保鲜固定站等设施,今年协助广州市从化华隆公司在广州从化、茂名高州建成"共享工厂+共享技术"加工体系,涵盖速冻、制汁与仓储功能,以纯代工或代工+销售赋能模式合作。

省农科院加工所副研究员程丽娜介绍,冻眠技术采用物理手段锁鲜,无需化学添加剂,荔枝保质期可达1年。解冻后,荔枝色香味保留八九成,营养成分留存超80%,远超传统急冻效果。

在精深加工领域,团队协助建立荔枝冰淇淋全自动生产线,创新研发乳酸菌发酵荔枝冰淇淋,发酵汁添加量≥40%,兼具风味提升与健康功效。此外,还推出新型荔枝米酒,建成荔枝全果加工示范基地。

广州市从化华隆公司董事长欧阳建忠透露,今年在广州、高州分别投入1亿元和3000多万元建设生产线,具备2000 - 3000吨冻眠、5000多吨速冻处理能力。依托"共享工厂"模式,双加工中心实现设备技术共享,降低企业成本。经销商支付加工冷藏费即可获取保鲜方案,实现错峰销售。企业还将为果农提供"销售+加工"服务,承诺增值收益率不低于5%。该模式助力果农摆脱"旺季贱卖",赋能经销商反季节销售,推动荔枝产业从"季产季销"迈向"全时供应"。
