Kueh）教授的倡议和号召下，新加坡南洋理工大学经济系主办了一场探讨中国经济增长的学术研讨会“中国的经济崛起：起源与模式”，以庆祝张军教授执教35周年和即将迎来的60岁生日。会议邀请了中国经济研究领域海内外众多经济学家出席并报告论文。近日新加坡The World Scientific出版社出版了这次会议的纪念学术文集Demystifying China's Economic Emergence: Origin, Model, and Characteristics - A Festchrift in Honor of Professor Jun Zhang。该学术文集由郭益耀（香港岭南大学）、冯曲（新加坡南洋理工）与陈钊（复旦大学）联合编纂，包括林毅夫、Mary-Françoise Renard、瞿宛文、何泺生、丸川知雄、姚洋、宋立刚、宋铮、刘德强、吴延瑞等数十位经济学家系统探讨了中国经济崛起的深层逻辑与独特路径。

郭益耀（Y. Y. Kueh）：国际知名的中国经济问题专家，出生于马来西亚成邦江（Simanggang），曾就读于香港新亚书院，后于德国马尔堡大学获得经济学博士学位。在出任香港岭南大学经济学讲座教授及社会科学院院长之前，他曾任教于香港中文大学经济系，并担任澳大利亚悉尼麦考瑞大学中国政治经济研究中心（Centre for Chinese Political Economy）创始主任。郭教授曾在 China Quarterly 等期刊发表多篇论文，并主编十余本关于中国经济各方面的著作。他的重要著作 Agricultural Instability in China 深入分析了20世纪30至60年代间天气对中国粮食产量的影响；在 China's New Industrialization Strategy 一书中，他提出并探讨了中国经济现代化过程中领导者的作用。
