科学和信仰二者其实并没有明确的边界。从历史来看，早期的巫术和迷信就是科学存在的一种形式。

从确定性看，似乎科学更具有确定性，似乎信仰更具有不确定性。其实，从逻辑终极推理看，科学本质也是不确定性。因为按照波普尔的证伪理论，科学也是一个不断证伪自身的过程。

从解决问题的角度看，科学和信仰都围绕问题而旋转。一方面，科学的地盘在扩张，另一方面，信仰的地盘也在扩张。信仰并没有因为科学发展而灭亡，同时，科学始终也没有因为信仰存在而失去地盘。科学和信仰，二者呈现太极运动模式。

对人类而言，一些人活在信仰的世界里，一些人活在科学的世界里。活着科学世界的人反对信仰，活着信仰世界的人反对科学，其实在远处或深处，科学和信仰，是连在一起的，本质是一体的。

社会发展，既需要科学，也需要信仰。这里问题的关键是，我们需要建设好的科学，也需要建设好的信仰，二者缺一不可。

一个社会要实现自身和谐，社会和自然要实现和谐，需要好的科学和好的信仰有机结合。二者如何实现有机结合，需要三个立足点。这三个立足点是：诚信、理性、敬畏。三者缺一不可.
