In 2024, Guangdong's game revenue from overseas reached 42.36 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.9%, among which mobile games accounted for over 99% and Shenzhen and Guangzhou together contributed over 90%. Industry giants like Tencent, NetEase, and 37 Interactive Entertainment continued to lead the way, while rising stars such as UNI-STAR and Digital Hollywood are quickly gaining traction.

AI technology has become a powerful new engine for global expansion. Tencent's "Game AI Middle Platform" has boosted character design efficiency by 300%. 37 Interactive Entertainment's automation system has reduced labor needs by 70%. Kuro Games' "Meta Factory" model has shortened game iteration cycles to just two weeks, significantly improving both the speed and quality of content production.

At the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2025, Guangdong-made games such as Honor of Kings: World, Black Myth: Wukong, and Wuthering Waves took the international spotlight. According to Sensor Tower, among the top 30 Chinese mobile game publishers in 2024, Guangdong companies accounted for 36% of total revenue among the world's top 100 mobile game publishers. Tencent secured the top spot as the world's No.1 mobile game publisher.
