拥抱AI,培养未来竞争力

现在AI在各个行业都开始应用,我们开设AI未来学校,是想告诉孩子们,未来机器人会和你们共生共存。学生现在还太小,让他们感知、热爱、动手、创新,所有的新生事物都是从热爱兴趣开始的。

君诚科技大楼,在每一个角落都精心的进行了装饰,让孩子一进来就有兴趣,我们购买了大量机器人等器材,并告诉孩子们,你要会用机器人,对你就是一个机会。你能用AI的工具解决很多问题,将来你的解决问题的速度就比别人快很多。

从知识积累转向思辨能力

我们必须考虑孩子未来的就业,未来的生存空间。AI的迅猛发展,机器人取代了越来越多的工作。未来和孩子竞争的已经不是别人,而是机器人。我们不能让孩子死记硬背,做题,首先做不过机器人。其次现在机器人考试,整体超过了人类。如果我们还把孩子变成一个知识的积累者,拥有众多的知识在身上,我们培养的就是知识劳动者,肯定会被机器人所替代,这也是一个巨大的生命危机。纯粹以知识积累为目的的教育已无法满足我们智能时代的需求。

未来学习知识已经变得不在重要,而思辨能力显得尤为重要,在未来的社会中,大家关注你在思考什么,创新什么。考试分数也不能反应我们对知识的掌握,你的意志力、视野、胸怀、品德,才是伴随孩子们一生持续成长的诱因。

AI时代技能驱动创新教育

今年暑假时,我给所有家长写了一封信,告诉家长我们未来学校已经开始了,家长们反应很强烈。开学我们又给家长写了一封信,告诉家长计算机编程是学习机器人最基础的课程,我们免费为3—8年级的学生开设软件编程课小学就有60多名家长报名参加,中学也很踊跃。我们为了节省家长的时间和钱的负担,我们全校十几名有海外背景的科创团队承担起了这个课程。从这点可以看出,家长对人工智能技能学习是非常重视的,现在的家长不是卷成绩了,而是卷人工智能了,这是一个多么好的转变。

AI技术的快速迭代,让知识与技能的保质期越来越短了,我们教育工作者必须从传授知识,向构建能力转变

早期的工业革命,机器替代了我们的手;汽车代替我们的脚。现在人工智能机器人,即将取代我们的脑,AI取代了我们的知识劳动者,医生、律师等多个行业。我们的孩子还是单纯卷这些知识,对孩子的未来没有多大的意义。AI的时代下,孩子最核心的竞争力是什么?人工智能——从AI实践到AI技巧,我们和宇树、众擎、松延等领先的企业合作,确保课程的高质量延伸。

基于这些考虑,我在学校强化了英语、数学、中文、生化物理等基础学科必须要学好后,就让孩子到科技楼里来学习科技课程(如3D打印机、无人机、编程机器人、人形机器人等),作为一种学习方式,编程尤为重要。早期的编程学习可以显著提高学生的抽象思维和计算能力。机器人在绝对的原则上,跟人是有差距的。未来是属于掌握人工智能的人,不属于人工智能。

激发兴趣,点燃学习是AI未来学校的意义

凡是人工智能取代不了的能力,都是我们学校培养的能力,创新、独立、兴趣,让孩子永远有求知欲和好奇心。

如果每个学生在人工智能时代,掌握人工智能的技能,凭他们自己的能力生存于世,实现他们的人生价值。作为一个校长,在基础教育阶段,带领老师们与时俱进,在日新月异的人工智能时代,激发、唤醒、鼓舞、点燃他们对学习和成功的渴望,那成立AI未来学校就实现了它的意义。

Embracing AI to Cultivate Future Competitiveness

AI is now being applied across various industries. By establishing the AI Future School, we aim to show children that robots will coexist with them in the future. While students are still young, we encourage them to perceive, love, engage, and innovate. All new things begin with passion and interest.

The SIBS Technology Building is meticulously designed in every detail to spark children’s curiosity upon entering. We have invested in numerous robots and equipment,conveying to students that mastering these tools is an opportunity. By using AI tools, they can solve problems much faster than others, giving them a significant advantage.

Shifting from Knowledge Accumulation to Critical Thinking

We must consider children’s future employment and their space for survival. With AI’s rapid development, robots are replacing more and more jobs. In the future, children will not only compete with others but also with robots. Relying on rote memorization and repetitive problem-solving is futile—first, they cannot outperform robots, and second, robots already surpass humans in exams overall. If we continue to train children to be mere knowledge accumulators, we are cultivating knowledge workers who will inevitably be replaced by robots—a profound existential crisis. Education solely focused on knowledge accumulation can no longer meet the demands of the intelligent era.

In the future, acquiring knowledge will become less important, while critical thinking will be paramount. In tomorrow’s society, people will care less about what you know and more about what you think and innovate. Exam scores cannot fully reflect mastery of knowledge. Instead, willpower, vision, open-mindedness, and character are the qualities that will drive lifelong growth for children.

AI-Driven Skills Fuel Innovative Education

This past summer, I wrote a letter to all parents, announcing the launch of our AI Future School, which received an enthusiastic response. At the start of the school year, we sent another letter, informing parents that computer programming is the foundational course for learning about robots. We offered free software programming classes for students in grades 3–8. Over 60 parents from the primary school signed up, and participation from the middle school was equally enthusiastic. To save parents’ time and money, our school’s team of over a dozen innovation educators with overseas backgrounds took on the responsibility of teaching these courses. This shows how much parents value AI skill development—parents are no longer fixated on grades but on AI and robotics, a remarkable shift.

The rapid iteration of AI technology has shortened the shelf life of knowledge and skills. Educators must shift from imparting knowledge to building capabilities. In the early Industrial Revolution, machines replaced our hands; cars replaced our feet. Now, AI robots are poised to replace our minds, displacing knowledge workers in fields like medicine and law. If our children focus solely on accumulating knowledge, it will have little significance for their future. They may strive for a top university only to face unemployment upon graduation. In the AI era, what is the core competitiveness of children? Artificial intelligence. From practical applications to AI techniques, we collaborate with leading companies like Unitree, Zhongqing, and Songyan to ensure high-quality, extended curricula.

Based on these considerations, we have strengthened foundational subjects at SIBS, such as English, mathematics, Chinese, biology, and physics. Once students master these, they are encouraged to study technology courses in the Technology Building, including 3D printing, drones, programming robots, and humanoid robots. Programming, as a learning method, is particularly crucial. Early programming education significantly enhances students’ abstract thinking and computational skills. On fundamental principles, there remains a gap between robots and humans. The future belongs to those who master AI, not to AI itself.

Igniting Interest and Passion is the Mission of the AI Future School

The abilities that AI cannot replace—innovation, independence, and curiosity—are what our school aims to cultivate, ensuring children maintain a lifelong thirst for knowledge.

If every student in the AI era masters AI skills, they can thrive and realize their life’s value through their own abilities. As a principal, my mission in foundational education is to lead teachers in keeping pace with the times, inspiring, awakening, encouraging, and igniting students’ passion for learning and success in this rapidly evolving AI era. This is the true significance of establishing the AI Future School.
