This piece captures the mystical grandeur of Zhangjiajie's peaks shrouded in mist through bold chromatic contrasts and expressive brushwork. The artist employs ethereal blue-white tones to render the fog-draped pinnacles, while golden-yellow and deep black define the mountain masses—creating a layered composition that conveys the sublime vastness of Zhangjiajie's landscape.

As a porcelain painting, Lee Wou-Yuan masterfully synthesizes traditional Chinese ink-wash spontaneity with Western impasto textures and ceramic techniques. The mountain contours are outlined with calligraphic ink-like precision on the porcelain surface, while the material's inherent luminosity amplifies the glaze's chromatic depth. This work exemplifies his pioneering style—where East-West fusion meets technical innovation—resulting in a visually arresting interplay of tactile thickness and ceramic radiance.
