This concept clearly defined the role of critical technologies in China's economic development along with investment, consumption, and export. China's transformation into a "world factory" was made possible by the huge scale of production and low cost of production. However, at the present stage, Chinese industry must adapt to rising labor costs and increasing pressure on the environment. To maintain competitiveness, it is necessary to increase production efficiency, promote its robotization, and introduce artificial intelligence technologies.
