BFA Secretary-General Zhang Jun Attended Malaysian Gastronomy Festival held by the Embassy of Malaysia in Beijing at Shangri-La Hotel on June 11 at the invitation of H.E. Mr. Norman Bin Muhamad, Ambassador of Malaysia to China.

Secretary-General Zhang thanked Ambassador Norman for the invitation and highly praised Malaysia for its important role in promoting regional cooperation in Asia since it assumed the rotating presidency of ASEAN. Zhang Jun said that the BFA is willing to make due contributions to enhancing understanding and mutual trust and promoting dialogue and exchanges against the backdrop of diverse cultures in Asia. Accompanied by Ambassador Norman, Zhang Jun tasted signature delicacies from various states in Malaysia and tried with great interest to make famous snacks from Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. Together with the diplomatic envoys of relevant countries to China, he later enjoyed traditional songs and dances performed by young Malaysian students.
