According to recent data from the Changsha Customs Authority, from January to April this year, Hunan Province saw robust growth in exports of its "new three" products—lithium-ion batteries, photovoltaic products, and electric vehicles, with a combined export value of 4.93 billion CNY, a year-on-year increase of 69.2%. Among these, exports of lithium-ion batteries totaled 2.03 billion CNY, up 198.4%, while those of electric vehicle hit 2.7 billion CNY, rising 32.8%.

During the first four months, private enterprises in Hunan exported 4.85 billion CNY worth of "new three" products, marking an increase of 82.1% and accounting for 98.5% of the total export value of "new three" products. State-owned enterprises exported 70 million CNY of such products, while foreign-invested firms exported 3.417 million CNY. By region, Changsha exported 4.27 billion CNY in "new three" products, up 84.4% and making up 86.6% of the provincial total.

Mexico, the U.S., and Brazil were Hunan's top three export markets. Over the four-month period, Hunan's exports of "new three" products to Mexico and the U.S. reached 940 million CNY and 600 million CNY, growing 85% and 138.2%, respectively, while exports to Brazil amounted to 480 million CNY.

The Changsha Customs Authority recommended that companies further expand their global reach by establishing overseas factories, coordinating advances in overseas expansion, and building supply chains to tap into energy storage markets in Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and other regions.
