As midsummer approaches, lychees are ripening across the branches. This year, Suixi County in Zhanjiang, Guangdong, has adopted an innovative approach to marketing lychees by establishing the province's first "Xiaohongshu Village" in Wutang Town. Hong Wenze, Party Secretary of the town, led more than 300 lychee farmers in promoting the fruit online, drawing over 30 domestic and international buyers to sign purchase agreements. So far, over 4,500 tons of lychees have been pre-sold, accounting for nearly 30% of the total output, with pre-sale revenue approaching 100 million yuan.

As one of the earliest lychee-producing regions in Guangdong, Zhanjiang has planted around 400,000 mu (about 26,667 hectares) of lychees this year, with an expected yield exceeding 260,000 tons. Among them, the "Xianpin Lychee" (also known as premium lychee) from Wutang Town is particularly sought after. Its main varieties include Baitangying, Feizixiao, and Guiwei. Grown in the selenium-rich Zhanchuan River Valley, these lychees are known for their early ripening, Sweet flavor, and non-heaty nature, earning national recognition as "National Famous, special and Superior Agricultural Products".

In recent years, suixi has vigorously promoted sustainable agriculture, adding 5,000 mu (about 333 hectares) of new lychee plantations. The county has also launched a "Xianpin Lychee" tree adoption program, with around 7,500 lychee trees already adopted.

Guangdong Shengjia Supermarket Co., ltd and Zhongli Agricultural Group have both announced plans to significantly increase their procurement of lychees and have recommended enhancing cold-chain storage and e-commerce operations. Liu Zonghui, director-General of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province, emphasized the need to accelerate lychee marketing with a strong sense of urgency. He called for mobilizing all sectors to help make Guangdong lychees a true "fruit of prosperity" for the people.

广东遂溪全网“种草”仙品荔

盛夏将至，荔红满枝。今年广东湛江遂溪县创新荔枝营销方式，在乌塘镇打造全省首个“小红书村”，镇党委书记洪文泽带领300多名荔农上网“种草”，吸引国内外30多家采购商签约，目前荔枝预售量已超4500吨，占总产量近三成，预售金额接近1亿元。

作为广东最早上市的荔枝产区之一，今年湛江荔枝种植面积约40万亩，预计总产超26万吨。其中乌塘镇出产的“仙品荔”尤为抢手，主要品种有白糖罂、妃子笑、桂味等，因生长于湛川河谷地带、富含硒元素，具有早熟、清甜、不上火等特点，获评“全国名特优新农产品”。

近年来，遂溪大力发展绿色生态农业，新增荔枝种植面积5000亩，并开展“仙品荔”认养活动，目前已认养荔枝树约7500棵。

广东胜佳超市与中荔农业集团均表示将大幅增加采购量，并建议加强冷链仓储、电商运营等能力。广东省农业农村厅厅长刘棕会指出，要以“等不起、慢不得”的紧迫感推进荔枝营销，广泛动员多方力量，推动广东荔枝成为真正的“富民果”。
